Calm chairside care at The Smile Club Kingston

Walking into a new dental clinic can feel heavy. At The Smile Club on Constant Spring Road, the goal is the opposite: a first visit that feels clear, paced, and human. Patients on Google and Setmore often mention how welcome they feel, and that comfort starts before you sit in the chair.

This guide walks through how booking works, what an oral examination covers, which services you can schedule today, and how to prepare so the visit stays calm from the lobby to the polish.

How to book your first appointment

Most new patients start on our Book an Appointment page, which connects to Setmore. You can also jump straight to online booking. Locked time slots help you plan around work and school. Prefer chat? Use the WhatsApp button on the site to draft a clear request, then confirm a slot online when you are ready.

On Setmore right now you can book services such as an oral examination (about 20 minutes), adult dental cleaning (about 30 minutes), child dental cleaning (about 30 minutes), dental filling (about 35 minutes), and dental extraction (about 30 minutes). Times can vary based on your needs.

What happens in an oral examination

An exam is the foundation of good care. The team looks at teeth, gums, and bite concerns, and talks through what they see in plain language. If you have been putting off care because of fear, say so when you book. Many patients tell us they feel calm here. Some even fall asleep during cleanings or fillings because the visit is paced and explained step by step.

Bring a photo ID, any dental benefits information, a list of medications, and questions you want answered. Arrive a few minutes early for paperwork so you are not rushing into the chair.

Services that often follow a first visit

After the exam, your plan might include a professional cleaning to remove buildup that home brushing cannot reach. Adults and children both have cleaning options on the schedule. If a cavity needs attention, a filling visit is listed separately so you can plan time and recovery. Extractions, including wisdom teeth, start with clarity about whether you need an exam first.

Interested in a brighter smile later? Teeth whitening is part of care at The Smile Club. Ask the team what fits your goals. We do not currently offer braces. We do offer exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, whitening, and related smile care. See the full list on Services.

Why patients say the room feels different

Reviews frequently mention Dr. Carter for gentle fillings and thorough care. Parents note that children stay comfortable. Adults who arrive nervous often leave surprised at how manageable the visit felt. That culture is intentional: explain, pause, and treat people like family rather than a queue number.

We hold a 5.0 rating from 106 reviews on our Setmore page, sourced from Google and Setmore. Read more on our Testimonials page or on Setmore reviews.

Ready when you are

A calm first visit is not luck. It is a booking that matches your needs, an exam that explains the next step, and a team that listens.
